What If Jesus Comes Today?

by Dr. Detra Bishop

Would you be ready if Jesus comes today? What would hinder you from answering YES!

This is a serious question. The time of Jesus return for his people is drawing closer. It is time we prepare ourselves and the ones we love to meet him. He said he would come soon and his reward would be with him (Revelations 22:7, 12, 20).

It is time for Christians to get real about our walks with God. It is time out for excuses for our sins and shortcomings? Will Jesus hear it? God knows when we are doing the very best we can. Where we are weak, the Word of God is there to build us up and to guide us in the right way.

It has been my experience that any time I falter, it is because of my own unhealthy desires: "But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed" (James 1:14,KJV). Women of God, let us tame our desires and make preparation for the coming of our Lord. Will you be ready when he comes?
